A battle royal of Animation VS Live Action! We LOVED Season 3 of The Bad Batch, and it’s got us thinking: WHY is animated Star Wars SO MUCH BETTER than live-action Star Wars? Between The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Bad Batch, and Tales of the Jedi and Empire, what are they doing differently? Is it format, timing, or just storytelling? We spent so much time with Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker, Omega, Tech, and Echo. Why can The Bad Batch tell the thoughtful, thought-out emotional stories, and The Sequel Trilogy can’t?
Why can Tech and Omega have a beautiful moment in a cave, and no live-action characters can? Do Poe and Lando touch on this in Rise of Skywalker? Did we get any of this from the Ahsoka show from Ahsoka, Sabine, Huyang? Why did The Mandalorian turn away from the emotional storytelling in seasons 1 and 2? Do we hate on Book of Boba Fett enough? What about Andor? Is that an exception to this rule?

This episode we analyze BOTH arcs of Star Wars Tales of the Empire! Morgan Elsbeth, Barriss Offee. FINALLY we get more Barriss! What did we think? Do we like the way Tales is telling these stories? Does anyone care about Morgan? We saw her briefly in The Mandalorian, and much more so in Ahsoka, but is she more memorable now? We get to see the Battle of Dathomir and the fall of the Nightsisters again AND General Grevious AND Thrawn! But does her path make sense?
What about Barriss? Why should we care about her? Why does she think the Inquisitors are better than the Jedi? Is her story more interesting that Morgan's? (One of us thinks so...) Does redemption make for a better story than giving in to revenge? How do we feel about Lucasfilm and Disney filling in the gaps between the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy? Does this make Star Wars better? Do we still love Star Wars Animation and Dave Filoni? I

The time has come. This episode, we discuss Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3, Episode 15, The Series Finale: The Cavalry Has Arrived. 😭😭😭 First, we apologize for EVER wanting a Rampart redemption! No thank you. Was it always going to end with Nala Se and the Kaminoans vs Rampart? Emerie doubles down on her redemption and we get some pretty special moments. If Rampart had more time with Omega, would things be different?
What did we love about his episode? Comedic moments, action moments, heartfelt moments. Eva, Jax, Bayrn, Sami - every time they were on-screen, our hearts broke. Who were we worried about? Crosshair? Wrecker? Hunter?? ECHO?! The CX troopers had us worried. They finally free the Clones! What happens when you put Clone loyalty against Empire loyalty? It's pretty clear.
How did it feel to see all the bad guys: Rampart, Hemlock, Scortch get what was coming? Where were Rex and Ventress? Did it matter that we didn't see them? What about Crosshair's hand? Should they have addressed that more? What did we think of the epilogue? The Bad Batch made it out alive - Happily ever after on Pabu!
We're very sad to see it go but kind of love to see it go this way. We will certainly miss this show and miss talking with you all about it in the comments. Let us know what you thought of the finale!

This episode we analyze episode thirteen of Star Wars The Bad Batch Season 3: Into the Breach! Only 1 episode left!!! 😭😭😭 We totally called that The Batch would get shot down when they got to Tantiss! AND, I’m taking credit for being right about Echo putting on trooper armor. Are there any more creatures in that jungle?
Do we want Rampart to see a redemption? Will Hemlock convince him to turn on The Bad Batch? Is Omega working good through Crosshair? Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair are still shoving Rampart around - would Omega be standing up for Rampart if she were there?
How do we feel about Echo and Emerie meeting? Do we think Emerie was waiting for someone like Echo? What was Echo’s plan? Is he trying to contact Rex? He was just kind of walking around… When will they all join forces?! Why did this episode end exactly like the last one? What’s Omega’s plan?
How are they going to cram EVERYTHING in to the finale?! Clone prisoners, Clone assassins, Zillo beast, kids escape... SO MUCH STUFF! Can we get it all done in one 20 minute episode? Should we subvert our expectations on what a “finale” is? What is important for us to focus on when discussing these shows?
