In this episode, Beyza (Fear Queers Podcast) and I discuss a brief history and history of inclusion in horror, as well as our love for the genre! How did they get into horror? What is it about VHS? We also discuss queerness in horror, and representation and inclusion in general.
Why do we do this to ourselves?! Where did it start? I linked the books that Beyza recommended below! Did you know there was a lesbian vampire, Carmilla, created before Bram Stoker wrote Dracula?!
Then, we talk about what Horror content Beyza has been into lately! Seriously, if you're not watching What We Do in the Shadows, you're missing out! We also discuss what Beyza is into outside of the horror genre. Full disclosure, we obviously recorded this episode before Hawkeye aired - so you get to hear past us briefly discuss our anticipation for the show!
And, there’s a Surprise Question for Beyza! Let us know what your favorite Buffy episodes are!

And now what we've all been waiting for!
This episode we talk about The Book of Boba Fett finale and the show as a whole. For some of us the finale fell a little flat, for others it was the best episode! A very Pew Pew ending, but did that do it for us? What'd we like, what'd we not like? Is Baby Yoda carrying the entire franchise?
And, this week Royce asks the Surprise Question - Did Boba rule with RESPECT?! Let us know your answers AND we'd love to hear what you thought of The Book of Boba Fett overall!

25:28 Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6
32:15 Grogu’s training
39:25 The Cult of Luke Skywalker
44:43 The Choice
Where's Boba Fett?!
We get Robin's and Lorelei's takes on Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5, AKA an episode of BOBF that they actually like!
THEN, we get into Chapter 6. We spend a lot of time talking about and critiquing Luke and Luke's teaching of Grogu. We may have thrown some heavy shade at the Jedi! Why hasn't Luke learned from the failings of the Jedi? Why isn't Ahsoka guiding him? Why wouldn't Luke just wait for Grogu to catch up when they're walking?!
We'd love to know what you all think!

0:00 Blackout Star Wars Eclipse
7:35 Catchup and What We're Into
17:54 Book of Boba Fett
Woohoo 2022!
This episode we start out by discussing the video game, Star Wars Eclipse, being developed by the studio Quantic Dream, and the movement, #BlackoutStarWarsEclipse.
Some backstory: The leadership at Quantic Dream has a long-standing and public history of bigotry, abuse, and toxicity. Here are links to some articles and videos that discuss the facts and allegations regarding the leadership at QD, and offer insight into what impact these decisions has.

BlackoutStarWarsEclipse is a movement started and supported by Star Wars content creators and fans that want the people and studios involved to be held accountable. Homophobia and bigotry have no place in Star Wars, or anywhere.
I encourage you to do some research, checkout the hashtag on twitter, and get involved. Star Wars isn't "for everyone" but it could be.
We also discuss the allegations of transphobic discrimination and assault brought against Rosario Dawson and her family. This was something that made headlines in 2019 and then quickly quieted down - But, it's not over and it hasn't gone away. Here's the link to the article that describes all the facts and allegations - with updates as of June 2020. More is sure to come. Believing victims is paramount. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2021/05/dedrek-finley-rosario-dawson-anti-trans-assault-lawsuit
