45:24 What do you think, listeners?
We’ve gotten a full trailer for Ahsoka which means we have two minutes of footage we can comment on and speculate wildly about! What did we think of this trailer? They really went all in with the action and lightsabers.
Did it get us excited? Did it remove some caution we’ve had about the series? We discuss why the Ahsoka series could be an entirely different project than any Star Wars show we’ve seen so far. We also discuss some WTF moments and big questions we have. Who are Baylan and Shin? Is Morgan Elsbeth a Nightsister?!
Does Thrawn really want to be Heir to the Empire? Hmmmm Who else might make an appearance? Temuera Morrison as Rex? Other Mandalorians? The Darksaber, maybe? And, where will Ahsoka rank compared to Obi Wan Kenobi, Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Andor?
Let us know what you think! Is Ahsoka your favorite character?
Do you have all the faith in Dave Filoni?
Do you think it will be THE BEST STAR WARS SHOW?

0:00 Intro and what we've been up to
9:00 Pride and LGBTQ Representation
31:19 Loki First Impressions
Happy Pride!
This week we dedicate time to talking about LGBTQ representation in pop-culture and how our awareness of the importance of that representation has changed over time. Within the content we consume, where are we seeing representation?
*Spoilers for Loki*
Then we give our first impressions of Loki! Who’s on board? Who's not? What do we think the god(s) of mischief has/(have) in store? And what do we think of that REVEAL in episode 2?!
With the focus of Phase 4 seeming to be the breakdown of reality, we're excited to see this potentially head towards ~madness~!
Tune in! and let us know what you think of Loki so far.

#StopAsianHate. Because of a terrible shooting and other extreme violence committed against Asian-Americans that have been covered by the media recently, it may seem like there’s a recent increase in anti-asian racism. But that’s not the case - there is an increase in the discussion but not the racism. Overwhelmingly, the Asian and Asian-american community has said that Asian stories don’t get picked up and reported on by non-asian news sources, and that they feel invisible and silenced. We can all do our part to stand up against anti-asian racism and stop asian hate, but to also make the asian community feel seen and heard. Uplift Asian voices, share Asian posts on social media, and very importantly reach out to members of the Asian community you know - check in, ask how they’re doing; again, make them feel seen and heard. And if you see something, say something - complacency and silence are just as bad as the violent offenses. Find and donate to #stopasianhate and anti anti-asian racism causes. We can all do our part and it’s up to all of us.
Episode 25:
This episode, we’re going back to our roots - we talk mostly about Star Wars!!!
We discuss our levels of anticipation, excitement, or indifference for three of the new Star Wars announcements!; one for each of us to be excited about - plus a wild card host!
Obi-Wan: What story would we like to see told? Will we get a combination action/adventure and coming-to-terms, emotional journey? Has WandaVision made anyone (one of the hosts) expect a more dynamic range of storytelling from properties like this?
Andor: Who among us is excited for this one? What could we learn 5 years before the events of Rogue One? What’s the point if there’s no K2SO? Plus, Joey does a quick synopsis of Rogue One for Dr. Lorelei!
Taika Waititi’s Star Wars: Basically, this is slated for 2025, so we have no business talking about it. But it’s fun to speculate and since we’re all familiar with Waititi’s work, it’s fun to think about what kind of Star Wars movie he would create. This part’s super fun - don’t miss it!
As usual, we have a surprise question - this time from a listener - so stick around until the end!
Thanks for listening!

Boring Conversations Anyway: Episode 001
Friday Mar 19, 2021
Friday Mar 19, 2021
Welcome to first episode of Boring Conversations Anyway - our all new mini episodes!
This week Joey and Robin discuss their anticipation and excitement for Falcon and The Winter Soldier. What are we looking forward to? Who among us is more excited about this than they were about WandaVision? Tune in to find out!
We also ask each other and the listeners: What topics should we cover on the main show? Now that we're done dedicating every episode to reviewing WandaVision, do we do the same for Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Or do we change things up? We just gotta talk more Star Wars! Let us know what you think on twitter or instagram @kryptonalderaan or send us an email at kryptontoalderaan@gmail.com.
Let us know if we lived up to the show's title.
Only 20 minutes long?! You can't afford to not listen!

Episode 24: WandaVision Finale

0:00 Intros and what we’re into
15:38 WandaVision
43:38 Why Didn’t / Don’t We Like Wanda?
I forgot to tweet this link last week so I wanted to keep this language up top to remind everyone of this important cause:
We, at Krypton to Alderaan, believe it is important to shed light on bigotry and injustice and to actively participate against it. Recently, a Star Wars castmember was fired due to their ignorance and bigotry. In response, a group of great and wonderful Star Wars fans created a GoFundMe: Trans Rights Are Human Rights: This is the Way to benefit the Transgender Law Center. So far, they have raised over $20,000. To show support to the Trans community, Krypton to Alderaan has made a donation and we encourage anyone out there listening to do the same. To quote the GoFundMe page: “let’s flood the Star Wars community with support, love, and vibrance for all gender identities.”
Episode 24:
This episode we talk about the WandaVision finale!
We have a brief discussion of what we thought about this episode. You’ll never believe who among us enjoyed the finale. Was it a satisfying conclusion to this chapter of Wanda’s story? Were our eyes filled with double Vision?
Overall, what are the implications this series could have on the greater MCU going forward? Does this open the door to a broader range of properties within the franchise?; stories more focused on dealing with more than just punching and throwing moons - emotion, grief, trauma, real world, relatable storylines.
Finally, we have a very important discussion about why we haven’t liked or haven’t connected with Wanda based on her previous appearances within the MCU. Do we ever ask ourselves: what is the reason we don’t like/aren’t connected to these characters? Is it because of flaws and biases within the system that brings these characters to the screen?
As usual, we have a surprise question - this time from a listener! - so stick around until the end!
Thanks for listening!
